This past weekend I attended my very first International Makeup Artist Trade Show (IMATS) at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and had a total blast. Hosted by Make Up Artist Magazine, the show brings together beauty professionals and enthusiasts for a weekend of competitions, keynote speakers and of course, serious shopping.
Tickets were about $50 all in per day and totally worth it, even as a non-makeup artist. Brands and companies from all over were present – industry heavyweights such as MAC, MAKE UP FOR EVER and NARS had booths, as well as trade-focused companies like Jordane Cosmetics, Morphe Brushes, Blur Makeup Room and so. many. more.
