One of the most familiar body care products for just about everyone is a bar of soap. Maybe you grew up with a bar of Irish Spring in the shower or always had Dove’s classic product on hand, but many of us tend to evolve and grow past it, moving on to gels, cleansers or creams to do the job on a daily basis.
Today, I’m inviting you to return to your roots and give bar soap a second chance with Soap Stories, a company that’s bringing handmade soaps that are ethically sound and organic to the market. As someone who pretty much exclusively uses shower gel, it was a nice change of pace to bring the bar back in the shower and try out some of Soap Stories’ offerings – they do more than just soap!
First up, their signature handmade soaps. For $12.00 a piece, you can get a handmade, organic product that is paraben and cruelty-free and smells so incredible. The first thing I noticed with these was just how genuine the scents were – no failed attempts at mimicking a popular fragrance here. I used both the Rose and Sandalwood products, and both are just those quintessential fragrances we all know and love when we’re looking to kick back and relax in the bath.
The soaps are also without question a quality, handmade product – the Rose bar even has real dried petals along the top contributing to the scent. Each soap is made with essential oils and moisturizers so they don’t dry out your skin like some traditional bars do. Overall, they’re a great product and would make a really lovely gift or guest bathroom piece in your home!
