As someone who puts a lot of focus on her lips, I was really curious to try Arbonne’s Intelligence Lip Treatment. The product promises to plump and smooth, and doubles as a primer for lipstick or gloss. My lips are actually my favourite feature of mine, being naturally pretty full and symmetrical, but I’m always after something to keep them from drying out and maintaining their naturally fullness.
The product comes in a small squeeze tube, dispensing a thick cream-like product – not what I was expecting, having tried different lip plumping products in the past that are more gloss or serum-like. You’re encouraged to use morning and night as part of your skincare routine (leave this by your moisturizer on your vanity) and Arbonne says you should start seeing results in as little as three days. Prior to using the product, these were my lips in their natural glory:
I found it easy to add the product to my routine and loved the consistency of the product. Since it’s pretty thick and creamy, you definitely get loads of hydration and I love that it’s fragrance-free. For the purpose of this review, I was sure to apply 1 – 2 times daily for a week. This was my “after”:
I know the shots aren’t identical in terms of set-up to get a proper before/after, but I think it’s safe to say my lips are smoother and my bottom lip appears to be a bit fuller. It’s subtle appearance-wise (don’t expect this to give you Kylie Jenner-esque results) but from a treatment perspective, it does a great job.
With the weather cooling down and dry skin season approaching, this is a handy product to have in your skincare mix. Lips are often left behind, and even if you’re not looking for fuller lips, it’s great for smoothing and hydrating during the winter months. Find it online for $38.
