As soon as summer hits, most of us abandon our sock drawer and stick to sandals to truly embrace the few months of heat we’re lucky to enjoy. With that comes a lot more attention being drawn to our feet, and suddenly pedicures become more frequent to keep things smooth – a habit that can add up financially and isn’t necessarily always convenient.
I was recently introduced to an awesome solution, Dr. Scholl’s Express Pedi Foot Smoother. At-home pedicure products have definitely been popping up everywhere lately, but as soon as I heard Dr. Scholl’s was entering the market it made perfect sense – I definitely associate them with being the experts when it comes to foot care. The tool is an electronic foot smoother that gets rid of dry and calloused skin so you can take care of your feet at home for a fraction of the cost of regular pedicures.
I’ve been using the product now for a couple of weeks and have nothing but amazing things to share! For starters, it’s exceptionally easy to use. Make sure your feet are clean and have been soaked recently, but don’t file them wet – the need to be dry before you file. Push the button on and target any specific areas on your feet that are dry and/or calloused (think heels, the bottom of your toes, the balls of your feet, etc.) by using a light but firm amount of pressure. You’ll find the tool is gentle yet effective – you don’t have to worry about it hurting your feet or going too far with the filing.
The results have been fantastic – smoother, more comfortable feet that are easy to stay on top of on your own time, and a lot of money saved since I’m able to space out pedicures much further apart (handy since I’m not working at the moment).
I didn’t want to share a photo of it in action because feet gross me out a little bit (anyone else?), but trust me when I say this is a worthwhile investment. It’s pretty much the cost of a regular pedicure and you’ll get a lot more mileage out of it. You can find it at just about every major drugstore including Walmart, Walmart.ca, Loblaws, Amazon, Home Hardware, London Drugs, Londondrugs.com, and Rexall for around $40.00 CAD.
