I hope it’s clear by now how much I adore fall, and I love the inspiration it brings for playing with makeup! I created this look recently, looking to use deep fall colours and some metallic effects for a bold, sparkly evening look. Below are the steps to do it yourself!
- Sephora Primal Instincts Palette (no longer available, similar)
- Revlon Photoready Eye Art in 100 Topaz Twinkle
- Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner in Intense Black
- Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara
Apply a beige/skin-coloured shade all over the lid, up to just above the brow bone.
Apply a deep, metallic plum shade in the crease and on the outer edge of the lid following the natural shape of your eye.
Choose a deeper, warm shade like a metallic brown or burgundy – I went with a deep burgundy, though it translated to more of a brownish-burgundy on the skin. Use this to define the outer edge of your lid and blend into the crease for added definition.
Apply the cream shadow from the Revlon product to the lower lid. I did two spots of the product and blended it out with my finger across the whole lower lid and into the crease for a smooth transition. Add some of the sparkle on the other end if you wish.
Line your eyes with the Stila liner and create a small wing, following the edge of the shadow.
Finish off with Rollerlash, and your eye look is complete! The real crime here is I didn’t have any falsies on hand, which would really finish off the look.
