One of the first new things coming to Red Lips. Blue Eyes. for 2015 is a set day for fitness blogging. If you’ve seen me in person, you might be asking yourself “um, Fit Fridays? You don’t exactly scream fitness guru,” and to that I say trust me, I know.

I’ve dabbled in fitness/weight loss blogging before (two tumblrs – ahem, fitblrs – were born and killed on this very subject over the last few years), and I’m sure some of you might be rolling your eyes because it’s January 2, everyone’s committing to being fit, I’m a walking cliche, you know…all of the things that are running through my very own head.
Here’s the thing, though. I’ve been continuously working out with a personal trainer now for a year, and while my workouts have slowed down this holiday season they haven’t stopped entirely. One of my 2014 goals was to get in the gym and stay there, and I did. So now in 2015, I have some measurable goals attached to my fitness efforts and plans to start working with a new, seriously kick-ass trainer.
I usually keep my fitness efforts to myself, but I want to use RLBE as a platform to share my journey, its ups and downs and offer a space on the site to share stories, resources, tips from experts and overall thoughts about what it means to stay “in shape.”
And who am I kidding – there’s a definite element of accountability involved here by setting aside a whole day to give updates on my progress.
I hope you’ll appreciate what I have to share on this. Anyone else setting some new fitness and/or health targets for 2015?
