One of my favourite companies, BlushPretty (who I work on their blog with) held a B.F.F. event last week with organic-based brand Clinical Luxury created by Graydon Moffat. Stephanie Daga, BlushPretty’s owner, often champions organic and local brands that marry luxury, quality and affordability and this was a chance to get up close and personal with the products and learn all about them from their creator.
I stopped by the studio at 777 Richmond Street West on Thursday after work and was able to sit with Graydon and ask about the brand, its products and how it all came to be. She spoke of her passion for getting her hands dirty and literally creating, and as a ‘real food’ advocate, busy mother and bonafide yogi, she’s taken those passions and created an organic plant-based line of quality products made to address all skincare issues.
The products were really different and interesting to explore – what I loved was that nothing was labeled for any specific skin type. Graydon’s philosophy is essentially find what works for you. Instead of a regimen involving several products, you can rely on the quality ingredients in what she’s made to address your needs and tailor your routine accordingly – a little more of one product here, a little less of another there, combine two for a specific result…you get the idea.
She makes everything from an All Over Soap + Shampoo, a Hair Smoothie, a Face Food mineral mist and more. I was particularly intrigued by the Face Food, which pretty much works with just about anything to help it perform better, and The Cleanser which works to cleanse, remove makeup, and moisturize.
I went home with a little package of samples and am excited to give them a shot, and I think I’ll be grabbing the cleanser in the near future. If you’re looking for a local and/or organic skincare company to try, look no further than Clinical Luxury!
