Mineral eyeshadow has always been a favourite product of mine – way back in the day when I was a total newbie to beauty I actually would use dark brown shadow to fill my brows because it was such a versatile product.
The benefits of mineral eyeshadow are many. I love how easy they are to use dry and wet, they’re super pigmented and they always apply like a dream. I find they’re usually really blendable and make creating a strong eye look far less daunting, especially if your blending skills could use a bit of work.
Mary Kay has a wide range of shadows available, as well as these Mineral Eye Color Quads. Coming in two options (Sandstorm and Autumn Leaves) these two quads offer staple colours that work well together to create a variety of looks.
Personally, I love Sandstorm (anyone else have the song in their head now?) because it’s my favourite family of shadow colours. Neutral tones with a touch of shimmer make my blue eyes pop, and the fact that these are so incredibly pigmented makes them really effective if you’re looking to create a head-turning smoky eye.
I loved the product so much I used the Sandstorm quad to create my look for the BlushPretty photoshoot I talked about last week. Pretty nice, eh?
Each quad is available through Mary Kay for $19.00 each. Since you’re getting four colours in a quad and the product is so easy to work with and high-quality, I say they’re definitely worth it – I highly recommend checking them out.
