Last October, I blogged about experiencing Philosophy’s No Reason To Hide serum for the first time. I wrote extensively about the benefits of the product, why Philosophy made it and my initial thoughts.
I’ve since been using it as part of my daily routine – the product seemed to good not to use long-term and put to the real test! While I’m admittedly lazy on occasion with my skincare, I can say I’ve used it nearly every day during my morning routine since receiving it and can finally share my thoughts on it as part of a daily regime.
As I said before, the product itself is super lightweight and has a sort of cooling effect that’s nice first thing in the morning. It absorbs fast, smells awesome and just a pump or two is all you need to cover your face.
Philosophy makes big claims with this stuff – redness, blotchiness, large pores, dark spots and acne scars are all supposed to be taken care of, so I was particularly mindful of my breakouts and skin tone as the days went on. I can honestly say breakouts have been far fewer and my nose and chin area that are prone to large pores and blackheads have been less problematic. I actually can’t think of the last time I had a major breakout since using it, just the odd pimple here and there.
I can also say redness and blotchiness hasn’t been an issue. While they’ve never been major problems for me, stress sometimes leads to redness and uneven tones but I’ve seen no signs since using.
I can confidently declare this product as the real deal – it’s played a key role in managing my breakouts since I started using it and has made me more comfortable in my bare skin. Again, it’s available for $72.00 (30 ml – worth every penny) at philosophy.com and in all philosophy retailers including Sephora, select Hudson’s Bay and select Shoppers Drug Mart locations.
