With WMCFW in full-swing here in Toronto, many of us have spring and summer fashion trends on the brain (yes, at the same time we’re building our Christmas shopping lists). I’m looking forward to seeing all of the looks our Canadian designers will be sending down the runway at the tents and online, but my focus will definitely be on the beauty trends as well!
A few weeks ago Sally Hansen shared some of their beauty trends as sponsors of Stella McCartney Collections at Paris Fashion Week, particularly in the nail department – the trend I was all over? Nude, matte nails.
The brand’s Global Ambassador Madeline Poole opted for a simple nude manicure on the models, using Complete Salon Manicure in Camelflage and Almost Almond topped with a coat of Big Matte Top Coat to mimic the appearance of a bare nail’s natural sheen.
I LOVE this look – I’m all about earthy, natural tones on the nails (or deep navys, reds and purples) and I think a nude nail is the perfect way to lighten things up for spring without going into the brighter colourful shades. I was lucky enough to receive a few samples, so once my manicure is up to snuff (these cuticles are looking rough these days – nowhere near camera ready!) I can’t wait to show off the look, since it works so well year-round!
What beauty trends for spring do you think you’ll see pop up during fashion week?
