I was deep cleaning my makeup brushes this week and ran into a problem I hadn’t experienced in a while – my brushes used for foundation application were proving to be extremely difficult to wash out. It was frustrating for a control freak like myself since when I deep clean, I make sure to get them spotless (most of mine are the Sigma Mr. Bunny set of brushes and I make sure to get those ends as white as can be)!
It had me considering for the first time seriously looking to Sigma’s Spa Brush Cleaning Glove which is designed to make deep cleaning a lot easier. It has a variety of textures all over the glove to get in there and rinse your brushes clean, no matter what kind of brush. I remember looking at it when I ordered my brushes last spring but thought it was a bit unnecessary, especially at $35.00 USD.
Yet, here I am now, several months later looking at purchasing it or something similar to help get stubborn product out like foundation or gel liners. I’m going to do some digging and see what the general consensus is or if there are alternatives, but who knows – I might be adding this to my arsenal of tools sooner than later.
Have you used the glove or something similar to really deep clean your brushes? I’d love to hear some feedback!
